Anodised Aluminium Printing and Marking Services

Photograve Pty Ltd, based in Brisbane, Australia, is proud manufacturer of printed aluminium used for creating labels, nameplates, equipment panels, and more. Utilising advanced manufacturing processes, our products are created using a number of different anodised aluminium printing and marking processes.

NanoPrint – A unique technique whereby open-pore anodised aluminium can be digitally printed with full-colour, high-resolution images directly into the anodic layer using specialised inks. After printing the aluminium is sealed, locking the image inside the anodised layer, creating a lasting image that is resistant to UV-radiation, abrasion, high-temperatures, salt-spray and chemical exposure. This method is suitable for multi-coloured nameplates or full colour printed plaques and signs.

FibreMark – Uses fibre laser technology to permanently mark intricate silver/white details and images onto black or coloured pre-anodised aluminium. Due to the nature of fibre laser marking the protection afforded to the material from the anodising process is not compromised, resulting in a product that is resistant to UV-radiation, abrasion, high-temperatures, salt-spray and chemical exposure. This is an economical method for creating high quality single-coloured nameplates and signs.

Sublimation: Sublimation on anodised aluminium uses heat and pressure to embed dyes into the metal’s surface, creating vibrant, durable, scratch and chemical resistant prints. This is the is the most cost effective way to print onto anodised aluminium. However, due to the nature of the dyes used in this process it is not suitable for extensive UV exposure. This method is a great solution for durable indoor nameplates, signs and plaques.
